The annual convention of ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) will return to Marbella after eight years.

Between the 27 and November 29, more than 1800 delegates will meet on the coast.

The Councillor of Tourism emphasized the immediate impact on the destination with an increase in visitors after a large event.

The 2006 event is the 53rd ABTA Travel Convention, and the second to be held in Marbella. The previous Convention there was in November 1998 and attracted just over 2500 delegates.
