EU to Help Spain in Coastal Watch

As illegal immigration to the Canaries reaches record levels, Spain and nine other EU member states have reached an agreement on patrolling the waters of Atlantic Africa to try to stem the flow of people to the shores of the Canary Islands.
According to the country's secretary of state for security the action is planned till September but could be prolonged.
